I’ve had a pretty great time being a tourist in my own hometown this week. My friend Marielle and I have had a jam-packed week exploring L.A. We’ve hit the beach, hiked Runyon Canyon, went to Glenn Ivy Hot Springs Spa…and the adventures continue!
Today, we had the quintessential L.A. experience…touring the back lot of CBS Studios with their VP of Diversity & Communications Tiffany Smith-Anoa’i. We met Tiffany a few weeks back at the ColorComm Conference in Miami, a gathering of some of the top women of color in communication and business from around the country. When Tiffany heard we were coming to L.A. for vacation, she was so kind to invite us to her office for a personally guided tour.
CBS in Studio City is home to many of the network’s most popular shows, including CSI and Big Brother. Everything from Gilligan’s Island and Desperate Housewives to Everybody Hates Chris and Seinfeld have been filmed here, so getting a VIP tour was a real treat. Even as a born and bred L.A. girl that now lives in NYC, I was in awe.
