I started working in Corporate America when I was 17 years old. Four days after graduating from high school, I became the youngest full-time summer intern at one of the world’s top professional services firms. I haven’t really taken an ‘adulting’ break ever since.
I interned full-time every summer in college and even during the school year my senior year, when I interned in addition to holding down a part-time job. Once I graduated, I went right into a full-time role at the world’s top car company. I didn’t even take more than a few days off years later when I moved cross-country to NYC five years ago. And when I switched companies last year to work for the #1 fashion magazine, I took a total of 68 hours off in between….
