Those who know me know that I’m all about empowering and supporting other dope women. Last week I had the unique opportunity do just that by attending the Womeneur launch event at Dumbo Loft. Womeneur is a new platform and collective designed to celebrate, connect, enlighten and empower female business owners, entrepreneurs and progressive women — with a goal to help them lead extraordinary professional and personal lives. And the founder, Sharon Beason, last week brought out over a dozen women-owned businesses for ladies like me to shop to our hearts delight. Read on for a look at some of my favorites.
I couldn’t get enough of Brooklyn based artist Karina Daniel’s line of Lovely Earthlings greeting cards, art prints and bags! I met Jane Odartey, founder of Mawusi, a few days earlier at Sugar Hill Market and was delighted to run into her again at the Womeneur event. The Ghanain born artist and designer is such a sweetie and has some of most unique accessories I’ve seen in a while.
How about this for a statement necklace. Founder of Silly Simone, Alita Hilton-Daniels stops for a picture alongside her collection.

I love that Andrea Reyes’ A.Bernadette line is made by women artisans from countries around the world, providing jobs for these women and sustainable accessories for me.
