After nearly 4 years in NYC, living in the historic Mount Morris Park District of Harlem in Manhattan, it’s time to move on.
Not move out of NYC. Are you crazy?! I love it here and can’t imagine living anywhere else right now. Move on to a new apartment here in the city is what I mean.
Over the past 2 weeks I’ve been searching high and low for a new abode to call my own. Apartment searching in NYC is not for the faint of heart. It can seriously drive you to tears, a breakdown and a bank account in the red if you’re not prepared.
Luckily I managed to escape all of that and found a lovely studio apartment just 12 blocks from my current home, with a doorman and within my ideal budget (can I get an amen for no broker fee!).
Over the next couple weeks I’ll be purging a lot of unneeded items to prep for my more quaint dwellings. And even though I despise moving, I’m actually pretty excited about getting settled in my new spot and decorating. I’ve been taking to Apartment Therapy and Pinterest for inspiration and I’ll make sure to keep you updated on how I decide to decorate in a later post.
