As a New York City dweller, I’m no stranger to ripping and running. New Yorkers move at a pace people in other cities find crazy. I thrive off of it. But in the midst of my busiest weekend this year, I must admit, I am pooped!!
I moved into my new place this weekend. And the packing process was a doozy. I was up until 4AM on Friday shoving things into boxes, only to wake up at 7AM to finish the process before my movers arrived. I managed to do it though and even had time to respond to a few blog comments before the movers arrived on my new tablet computer that ASUS sent me.
I’m still in the process of unpacking, but it’s nice to be settled into my new spot. I’ve been taking to Pinterest for decorating inspiration, and it was nice to actually be in my space with my furniture to envision how I want my space to come together. I still have a lot to do, but I’m making good progress.
I was grateful to have a car this weekend instead of my metro pass to make the move a little easier. A sporty little Toyota Corolla that was perfect for zipping through the city for multiple errands to Target to decorate and furnish my new spot. Target was like my adult playground!
By the end of the weekend, I just wanted to sit, kick my feet up , and do the regular things I hadn’t had time to do all weekend because I was moving so much — like check my emails and catch up on some work. My new ASUS Transformer Book T300 Chi computer came in SO handy. Its beautifully portable design allowed me to connect anywhere with ease, and with 10 hours of battery there was no need to plug in between new apartment, old apartment, coffee shop, repeat.
It was the perfect all-around 2-in-1 device. So whether I was using it as a laptop or tablet, the ASUS Transformer Book easily fit into my moving overnight bag, as it’s one of slimmest and lightest computers available.
By the way, if you’re moving, one of the best pieces of advice I can give is to pack a ‘moving bag’ with all your essentials like toiletries, computer, change of clothes and pertinent moving documents. Luckily I did and avoided having to rip through all my boxes simply to get my life before work on Monday.
I participated in the ASUS campaign as a member of bLink Marketing Network. I was provided a free computer and a monetary compensation from ASUS to review but all opinions are my own.
