It’s no secret that I’m absolutely, head-over-heels, wildly in love with my curlz. I’ve been getting a lot of hair questions lately, such as what products I use, where I get it cut, how I style it and more. So I’ll be diving into some of those questions more on the blog in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, I wanted to share a fun interview I did with my friends over at The Glam Savvy Life a few months back about my hair journey. We talked about everything from my addiction to weaves once upon a time, to my current curly hair regimen and even the impact of my Africa travels on how I view my hair.
Here’s a little snippet about one of the more memorable moments in my curly hair journey:
“During my middle school years, I wanted nothing more than to have big, full curls like MelB from Spice Girls. I had no idea what a twist-out was at that point, so I talked my parents into letting me get a Wave Nouveau curly perm – but let’s call it what it really was: a jerry curl! Within a few months, it made all of my hair fall out…”
Head on over to The Glam Savvy website for the full interview.
