Over the last two weeks, the streets of New York City have been abuzz with stylists, models, editors and plenty of street style photographers for New York Fashion Week. As hundreds of designers showcased their new spring/summer 2016 collections, the show I was most excited about was New York Fashion Week: Africa.
You all know I love to incorporate African prints and fabrics into my wardrobe. And in the midst of recent headlines around African fashion that many, including me, felt did a bad job of examining its ever-growing appeal, I was glad to see a show during one of the biggest weeks in fashion that celebrates the art of talented African designers and aims to bring this beautiful high-end fashion international exposure.
