I was minding my own business walking to lunch one day, when I came across a thrift store with a sale sign in the window. I’ve been trying to curtail shopping and spending money on clothes I don’t really need, so I tried to keep my head down and continue strolling, but something told me to take the short detour and check the store out.
I’m so glad I did, because the first piece I came across was this handmade African print wrap skirt for the lovely price of $10. My first thought was who would be crazy enough to give this gem away. One (wo)man’s trash is anther (wo)man’s treasure I’ve learned over my years of thrifting. I was happy to add this beauty to my summer wardrobe.
