Hi loves! Hope your week is off to a great start. On my end, I’m starting to get settled in at the new job. I’m having a great time, but one thing I’m learning about fashion publishing is that the clock doesn’t stop. I’m trying to get used to the longer days, and my makeup is too. I have oily skin you see, so unless I take certain precautions, by the end of the day I can run around looking like I rubbed a stick of butter over my face. Not ok.
Thank goodness for a few essential oily skin products that ensure I don’t look like I’m melting by the end of my sometimes 15-hour days. These 3 have stood the test of time (literally) over the past year or so that I’ve been using them:
Before I put on any makeup, I apply my oily skin makeup primer. Pop Beauty Face Magnet Primer is an anti-shine formula that goes on right after my moisturizer and just before my foundation. It provides a great matte base that keeps my makeup in place all day.
After I apply my full face of makeup, I apply a mattifying setting powder. Inglot Cosmetics Transulcent Loose Powder is THE best setting powder I have come across over the years. I put a light powdering all over my face with a fluffy brush and I can immediately see the shine-reduction.
Even with the above products, a little shine is still inevitable, especially towards the end of the day. Blotting sheets immediately take care of the problem, without taking off my makeup. While the free variety is always my first choice, for the times my favorite beauty hack isn’t handy, a couple sheets of Elf Cosmetics’ Shine Eraser sheets are the best option.
All three of these products are essential for oily skin girls on the go!
