Oh how I long for the days that I could get away with nothing more than a light jacket. Being an L.A. girl living in NYC, I often get asked how I’m surviving winter on the east coast. I’m sure a couple friends and family back home expect me to run back to the west coast every time the temperature drops below 30 degrees. It it cold, yes. But if you have your essentials, it’s really not that bad (well, it’s not that bad when there’s not a record-breaking blizzard like today).
For those 50+ degree days that make an appearance every so often in the winter, a staple jacket in my wardrobe is a vegan leather jacket (I really feel like saying vegan leather is the bourgie way of owning the fact that a jacket ain’t real, but since the phrase is so on-trend, why not run with it).
Wear the jacket alone, like I’m doing here. Or pair it with a thick wrap around scarf, layered over a sweater and with some gloves for a stylish cool-ish weather fit.
